HIPs are finally GO!
The following comment was received by www.conditionrating from a licensed Home Inspector...we think it is relevant to the imminent commencement of HIPS.

"Three working days left in July and no signs of any change to introduction of HIPS............I'm looking forward and I'm sure many DEA's are ready, as they have been for weeks now! . Thanks RICS for creating 8-weeks of unnecessary delay. In a few months time we can all look back on this and decide if RICS action was warranted. The political infighting has cost HI's, DEA's and the many Pack Providers heavily. They have invested heavily to meet Government promises and have had to sit on their hands for two months. I bet the President of the RICS still got paid!"
Conditionrating endorses this view. The HIP market is ready, and has been ready, for two months now to deliver EPC's and HCR's. Like any new business there will be some "teething" problems but this is a planned programme and the benefits of introduction will far outweigh any difficulty experienced in the first few weeks of introduction. Let's make progress and "get on with it!".
